Ms. Levi will also act as a liaison between you and your school at planning meetings, eligibility meetings, and during IEP development and review—all critical steps in determining the precise services your child requires. Without an experienced advocate at your side, it’s easy to become overwhelmed at these meetings, where you may be interacting with general and special education teachers, an individual who interprets your child’s evaluation, and a school representative with the authority to commit resources.
